Porcelain vs. composite
Ask What Material You're Actually Getting.
"Veneers" gets used loosely — some offices quote composite bonding and call it a veneer. Here's the real difference.
Composite Veneers
Shaped and hardened chairside in one visit. Lower cost, but softer and more prone to staining — typically lasts 5–7 years before needing touch-ups.
What We Recommend
Depends on your goals and budget — we lay out both honestly at your consult instead of defaulting to whichever is easier for us to place.
Porcelain Veneers
Lab-fabricated, custom-shaded, bonded permanently. Stain-resistant and built to last 15 years or more with normal care. What we use for final results.
How it's built
From first consult to your final smile.
01
Smile design consultation
We talk through what you want to change — shape, color, spacing — and preview a design before any tooth is touched. Free, no obligation.
02
Written treatment plan
How many veneers, material, and full cost — on paper before you commit. Veneers are typically not covered by insurance; financing options are laid out clearly.
03
Minimal prep
A thin layer of enamel, less than a fingernail's thickness, is removed to make room for the veneer — most of your natural tooth stays untouched.
04
Temporary veneers
You wear temporaries while your custom, permanent veneers are fabricated to the exact shade and shape from your design.
05
Final bonding
Dr. Sabat bonds your final porcelain veneers in place, checking fit, bite, and shade match before you leave.

Insurance is usually limited
Veneers are typically considered cosmetic, so most insurance plans won't cover them — we'll confirm your specific plan either way.
Financing available
Payment plans are available so cost isn't the reason you put off a smile you actually want.
